TEAM K66 ACHIEVE FIRSTS AND SECONDS FOR SEASON AT LAST BSA EVENT
Now with two 2011 championships under his Fanatic hat, we have a feeling that Ant Baker won’t be hanging up his harness anytime soon. Not only did Ant prove that he’s got what it takes to make it back up into the top spot, Simon Cofield also did the K66 Team proud, by taking second overall in the British Slalom championships.
With Ant managing to coup both the Weymouth round of the BSA and the BSA title itself; Simon Cofield a second place in the UK Slalom title, Sam Latham 6th overall in the pro division (as well as being under twenties British champion) and Tim Frampton coming a very respectable 1st in the Amateurs Masters Championship you can say that the K66 team have a lot to celebrate.
What with the wind being unpredictable throughout both Speed Week and on the UK Slalom weekend, so predicting any kind of result was going to be tricky.
The BSA title was definitely up for the taking, which meant compelling watching for the spectators but somewhat of an anxious weekend for the competitors.
So congratulations to Team K66 and to Alan Jackson who took 3rd place on the BSA podium. As usual a fantastic effort was made by all who took part and our thanks goes out to those who make the BSA weekends possible.
Having spent the whole week at Speed Week and living every moment at the UK Slalom competition, who better than to take us through the last seven days at the forefront of the action down in Weymouth.
Ant Baker writes for the Word On The Water taking us through his experiences at two of the UK’s most significant events in the UK calendar.
