I first started skateboarding at the age of 11 years old and I progressed into surfing in 1975 and used a 7-8ft single fin board. From then boards started to get shorter and more radical, that’s when I became a short boarder, however from 1995 I started riding a 9ft long board and loved it. In 2000 my family and I needed a change of life for personal circumstances which was when we decided to travel the world. Over a year I visited and surfed in California (Trestle, San’O), Oahu (Waikiki, Alomoana Bowl), Maui (Lattina Breaks), Raratonga, New Zealand (Raglan, Pitta) and Australia (Noosa, Kirra, Snapper Rocks, Angourie and many more).
We returned in 2001 and I decided to start competing in long board contests which was when I joined the Hot Doggers Long Board Club in North Devon.

From there I entered into BLU (British Long Board Union Series) contests and enjoyed the atmosphere and meeting new people. In 2007 I started Stand Up Paddle Boarding after speaking to John Hibbard and felt that my life changed instantly! I felt that my passion for the sport was renewed. I purchased a 12ft6” French board followed by a board from Maui as a sponsored rider.

My new sponsors Nik and Emma from K66 are a fantastic support. My team mates Jock, Charlie and Jay make me very proud to be riding for such a company of high statue with in the world of SUP. I feel that the help given by Fanatic and the ION wetsuits and accessories have enabled me to achieve goals and spread the word of our new found sport.
