Anna Campbell
Anna Campbell was born and brought up in Kenya, a genuine wild spirit spending most of her childhood on a tiny island off the coast of East Africa in the water or exploring her wild surroundings. As soon as she could stand on a board she was hooked into the world of extreme water sports and the freedom, speed and adrenaline it allowed her to experience. With most water sport strings in her bow she travels the world's waters refining her skills and exercising her wild spirit.
Right from the beginning of her career in extreme sports Anna looked at ways to make the sports she loves more accessible to the masses and encourage inclusion and participation on a grand scale. She is committed to promoting health, confidence and positive thinking through sports allowing personal development for all, especially kids and women in sport. Anyone who talks to Anna about the places she has been and wants to go next will immediately sense her passion for foreign culture, adventure and exploration. Her childhood in Africa and extensive travel history including visits to some of the most remote corners and tribes of the world by the age of 23 is truly inspiring.
In 2009 Anna took part in the BBC series 'Last Woman Standing' as an 'extreme watersports athlete'. She headed to the depths of the Amazon for the first episode and spent the next 5 months competing in this grueling physical competition. She lived with 6 different remote tribes around the world, was given a week to master their sport and then compete against the locals and other athletes on the seventh day. Anna won 3 of the 6 challenges, thus winning the title 'Last Woman Standing'. Since this unique experience she has refined her understanding of fitness and best ways to achieve it, developed an understanding in the value of sport and how it can be used to build confidence, mental strength and help support social inclusion.
Since her on screen debut Anna has been offered numerous presenting jobs due to her natural ability and contagious enthusiasm on screen for the wide range of subjects she loves. She is passionate about using her presenting skills to inspire audiences within her niche expertise of Sport and subjects within the Natural History genre, particularly in Africa.
Anna likes to encourage and support others to follow their dreams. She believes strongly that you are in charge of your own happiness and has an understanding of the power of sport, challenge and adventure for mind, body and soul. Amongst many of her sayings she will often tell you to "DO THE THINGS YOU NEVER THOUGHT YOU COULD… because you can and don't put your true ambitions off any longer - do them today.
