After much anticipation Fanatic and North Sails have release their new wave and freestyle lines.

Fanatic have added an eagerly awaited Quad wave board to their line up which Victor Fernandez recently won the Pozo PWA wave event on. This year also sees reworked and tweaked shapes for the NewWave, NewWave Twin, FreeWave and Skate. The FreeWave is now also available in a new TeXtreme© construction featuring advanced Carbon Weave Technology for a lighter, stiffer and more durable board. The 2011 graphics are sicker than ever see for yourselves!

Sizes are from 6'5” short boards to a 7'4” mini malls to 9'1” long boards. You can even roll up to the beach on one of the new SurfSkate boards with new innovative front-loaded spring-pivot trucks bringing the full rail-to-rail experience to the street.

North Sails have also launched their new FreeStyle and Wave sails that you'll be going mad for, Code Mad in fact. The new optics on the Code Mad sails take it to a new level this year! The reworked and tweaked Egos, Ices and Dukes look and feel awesome. Construction as always is to the highest specification backed by a unique 5 year guarantee.

We were treated to beautiful sunny weather and thousands of people turning up for the Hunstanton Lifestyles 2010 Extreme Sports and Culture Festival. Lifestyles 2010 included events with the British Slalom Association, British Kitesurfing Association and British Freestyle Association. The event site was kitted out with its own skate park, party tent with live bands and tonnes of new kit on display.

Mat Pearch again took control with four 1st places in the first four rounds and a 4th and a 2nd in the last two rounds to give him a clear win over the chasing field. Despite Mats domination in the pro fleet great racing was had by all.

This is another amazing win for Mat who has now done enough to retain his British Slalom title for another year with 2 rounds still left to do. An amazing achievement from the Fanatic, North and Ion team rider.

"I'm so stoked to be British Champion again this really means a lot to me. I have had some great support again this year form my sponsors friends and family and want to say a big thank you to them all as I know this is a team effort. I will be gunning to try and win the last to rounds of the BSA tour as well as work very hard over the winter to try and come out fighting for the tittle again in 2011"

The new 2011 Wave, Freewave and Freestyle boards were shown for the first time and the reception was amazing. The new Fanatic graphics, North Sails Code Mad colour scheme and the new Quad wave boards got the most comments from onlookers. You can see all these new products on show and demo them in the coming weeks and months.

Great weekend at Hove Lagoon for the 5th round of the BSA. 18 knots, sunshine and 14 rounds of downwind slalom completed. Amazing close racing in the pros between Mat Pearch and Simon Cofield with Mat coming out on top with seven 1st and four 2nd places.

Also a result today for our nearly set K66 surf division team rider Charlie Grey winning one of the Paddle Round The Pier SUP races in very demanding SUP conditions.
